There comes a time in every person’s life when silence feels like betrayal.
For years, I’ve watched my people in Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency II struggle—with housing, with poor healthcare, with no real representation in government. And every time I listened to their complaints or witnessed their silent suffering, I would ask myself: “What can I do beyond words?”
That question led me here—to a decision that changed everything.
I Didn’t Just Wake Up and Decide to Run
This isn’t ambition for ambition’s sake. Politics is not new to me. I’ve held positions at both state and national levels. I’ve seen how decisions are made—and sadly, how often our people’s needs are ignored.
What I’ve realized is simple: the House of Representatives needs more people who don’t just understand the law but understand life on the ground. People who don’t just come with plans but with purpose.
A “Better Deal” Isn’t Just a Slogan
It’s what I believe every Nigerian deserves. In my constituency, that better deal means pushing for:
- Affordable education for children who are forced out of school by poverty
- Quality healthcare that doesn’t require people to sell their belongings just to survive
- Real development projects—not vanity ones—driven by community needs
This isn't just politics to me. It's personal. I’m not an outsider. I live here. I understand what it means to choose between paying rent and feeding your family. I want to carry that truth into the National Assembly.
The Economy Feels Like a Weight. I Want to Help Lift It.
We don’t need experts to tell us that inflation is choking us. Food prices have tripled. Unemployment is everywhere. Businesses are folding.
And still, we expect people to survive without any real support.
I believe we can fix this—but not with empty promises. We need policies that stabilize the exchange rate, encourage local production, and support small businesses. If we can get power supply right, reduce building material costs, and make land accessible, the ripple effect will touch everyone—from the market woman to the factory worker.
Women. Youth. Elders. No One Will Be Left Out.
Some of the strongest voices behind my campaign are women. They don’t just support me—they inspire me. And I will never forget them.
I have a deep respect for the role women play in our homes, markets, and communities. That’s why I plan to focus on real empowerment—not just token gifts, but training and seed funding so they can expand their businesses and support their families long-term.
Our youth need direction—not just money. With proper training and financial support, they can build sustainable futures. As for our elders, many of them have been forgotten. That must stop. I want to provide monthly support for the most vulnerable among them, so they can live with dignity.
On Security: Let’s Stop Waiting for Crisis Before Acting
Insecurity doesn’t start with guns—it starts with hunger, idleness, and a broken system. When we take care of people, fewer of them will pick up arms. And when we properly fund and train our security agencies, we create a country that feels safe again.
If I make it into office, one of my top priorities will be preventive security policies, improved intelligence gathering, and better welfare for those who protect us.
A Personal Note
This journey is not about power. It’s about people.
About mothers who pray for school fees.
About youths tired of hearing “there are no jobs.”
About elders who have been forgotten.
This is why I’m running. Not because it’s easy. But because it’s necessary.
